Art is very much like a dream scape where the possibilities are limitless. It is a place where one can challenge traditional notions of the boundaries of the world and see is as a reflection of it as imagination, and expression deep from within the soul. And in this dreamscape, everyone has a different window they view it from, and through the imagery of silent language, it ties us together. Having the ability to speak visually gives you the opportunity to reach out to people, crossing over language barriers, in a way that the whole world can understand. We have been speaking through pictures and symbol for as long as we have walked this earth, and it has touched us intellectually and emotionally and has the power to influence the mind of millions of people, to change the world, for better or worse. And can had a deeper underlying meaning.
I this piece I have titled "Imagine," I have chosen to use the simple imagery of shape and color to 'speak' As I said before, art is very much like a dreamscape for the viewers mind. With the brightly colored composition broken up into various sized boxes, delves into the minds of people. The mind is constantly thinking of new and different things and each time you look into the window of your imagination you can see things from a different perspective. And the large white areas is the blank canvas that has yet been filled, as one thinks of something they will wish to express to someone in a visual manner.
